Butterick B4254 C Review

This is a pattern that is a little bit authentic corset and a little bit fashion. It doesn’t quite create much of a shape but it does have a tiny bit of that cinched in waist effect. I feel the pattern could have a little clearer instructions for what size busk is needed for this pattern. I for sure picked a little too small of a busk. I do believe the other version of this corset in this pattern needs yet another size busk. Also the measurements of the pattern, despite matching my own, don’t quite fit right in the bust area. This pattern requires 3 layers adding some bulk to the corset. Sometimes this can be necessary but I’m not sure it is with this pattern. I won’t be using this corset that often. I think I’ll be saving it for high-waisted jeans and t-shirt kinda day.
